Advocacy Mini-Grants

Advocacy Mini-Grants

One goal of the Patient Advocacy Initiative is to generate an increase in awareness about rare disease and patient advocacy among Notre Dame’s campus community. Advocacy Mini-Grants (up to $250 in funding) are intended to help Notre Dame student organizations provide engaging peer-led programs and events that are focused on rare disease and/or patient advocacy and health equity.

All Notre Dame undergraduate and graduate student clubs, organizations, and residence hall communities are eligible to apply. Mini-grants will be awarded based upon an application and selection process, and up to four, $250 awards will be awarded per semester. If awarded, funds will be transferred post-event as a reimbursement.

Advocacy Mini-Grant activities should:

  • Be a program, activity or event that is focused on rare disease and/or topics related to patient advocacy or health equity

  • Have specific goals or intended outcomes identified and articulated

  • Have a clearly stated use for how funds will be utilized

  • Be open to a broad campus audience

The Advocacy Mini-Grants are not intended to fund permanent equipment or supplies, or serve as a donation to a particular cause or fundraiser. Only one mini-grant award per organization, per semester is allowed. Should your organization submit an application that does not get awarded funding, you are eligible to apply again.
